IN FEBRUARY

1st week : We finish the low wall of the Allée du Milan Royal between 2 snowfalls and before the arrival of the great cold. We also make install an anti-lightning system on part of the buildings in order to protect the electrical appliances. The objective is to be able to continue to "live normally" even in case of storm.

JANUARY 2012

We wish you a wonderfull 2012 new year !

1st week : We screw the boarding and put the insulation of the walls of the storage area.
2nd week : We install the inside walls, the electricity and the plump. At last, we install all the storage elements. This work is finished, we start a new one on monday.
3rd week : We dig and prepare the fundations of the entrance barrier - for that, we have to remove the entrance board, the plants and the intercom.
4th week : While the foundations of the barrier get stronger, we start to rebuild the wall of the Allee du Milan Royal which was weak.

IN DECEMBER

1st week : We cut about 20 trees especially acacias trees which have suffered from the lack of water the last years. This wood will be used to heat our house this winter.

2nd week : We start to grabe the leaves. It is a little bit windy but we manage to progress in our work.

3rd week : 1st snow and then rain. We have to stop grabing the leaves. We will finish next week.

4th week : We quickly finish to grabe the leaves and start a new work. We will close the storage area up of the campsite.

IN NOVEMBER

1st week : We finish to winter the campsite. We go to Montpellier to visit the fair for the campsites professionals. We buy there a new trampolin and we think of the next investments for the rentals. During the week-end, we enjoy a day at the Vélorail of Tournon. The landscapes are just wonderful !

2nd week : Various works to repair the rentals and update of all the inventories. This year, many corkscrews have disappeared ? Did we welcome a lot of wine lovers ?

3rd week : End of the repairing works in the rentals : locks, drawers, platings, lamps, taps,… Gardening at the end of the week. A lot of acacia trees died those 3 last years because of dryness, we replace them by catalpa and eucalyptus trees.

4th week : : We make the campsite "beautiful" : mowing of the lawn during 2 days and clearing of the ground in the slopes during 5 days. We will spend the next week to cut down about twenty dead trees.

IN OKTOBER

1st week : We finish the renovation of the chalets club after one month of work. We appreciate the result very much ...

2nd week : We renew the lawn like every year. We take advantage of that work to make bigger some pitches and to plant new hedges.

3rd week : We winter most of the campsite. We clean everything, take off the water from all the campsite, pack, ...

4th week : Holidays :-)

SUMMER 2011

You are more and more people who make us the pleasure to visit us.
Besides the "Palais du Facteur Cheval" and the "Safari de Peaugres", the new "Velorail" of Tournon sur Rhône in the Gorges du Doux has an enormous success (www.velorailardeche.com). We wait impatiently for the reopening of the Mastrou in 2013 !

In September, we straight away start renovating the chalets. This year, we will take care of the clubs in the allée des cerisiers. We also pack the lodges toile & bois which will spend the winter in a dry garage.

SPRING 2011

In April, we run, we run ... We have to finish to build the low wall of the allée du rouge gorge and we have to construct the terrace of the restaurant while preparing the campsite for the reopening.

In May, the sun is radiant. Too bad that there is no long week-end to enjoy it.

We install at last the new lodges "toile & bois" which welcome their first holiday makers with a huge enthousiasm for the hamocs. We don't mow the lawn that much because the weather is so dry that the grass hasn't grown during the spring. This is a good thing because Gaëlle has broken one of her toes and it is difficult to manage everything as usual.

IN MARCH

1st week : Holidays :-)

2nd week: We dig the foundations of the terrace and build 24 concrete studs. The gas pipe is moved. It is necessary now that all that dries.

3rd week: We rebuild the low wall of the allee du Rouge Gorge which had a quite bad shape. We fall the stones, put them apart from ground and build a new stable flagstone.

4th week : We build half of the low wall. We also redo the damaged allees.

IN FEBRUARY

1st week : We build and pose the door of the garage. Ludovic manufactures part of the lock. Gaëlle attends to her 8th lesson in Dutch for beginners.

2nd week: We build storage elements in the garage. We benefit from it to arrange and to sort the boards, tools,… . The weather is fantastic. At last at the end of the week, we finish to work to this building.

3rd week: We resume work of the terrace. The multiple roots of the trees and the hedges are removed. We locate the gas and electricity pipelines. We dig the floor of about 45cms and remove the concrete blocks.

4th week: Ludovic equips the tractor with a mobile charger - he manufactures the metal structure to fix the jacks. This is really art! We also manufacture a new door for the chemical toilet allee du rouge gorge.

IN JANUARY 2011

We wish you a very very happy new year 2011 !

1st week : The weather is nice. We finish to grabe the leaves. It is very pleasant to see the campsite so clean.

2nd week: We start 2 works in parallel : the construction of the stairs of the restaurant and the arrangement of the garage (pose of the exterior boarding, of the main door and of the interior racks). It will take us more than 1 month.

3rd week: We take the dimensions on the ground for the terrace and draw the plans of the adopted solution. We pose also the wooden structure of the garage on which the boarding will be screwed.

4th week: We pose the boarding. It is so long ! we spend a lot of time going up and down the scales.

IN DECEMBER

1st week : End of the plantations. We repair also the broken fences, lightings and woodsticks on the pitches. At last, we evacuate the 2 mobile-homes willerby. Places 32 & 33 are now dedicated to campers !
2nd week : We "clean" places 32 & 33: evacuation of the hardcores and the wooden terraces. Then we start the cut and the pruning of the trees.
3rd week : After about twenty cut trees, we store approximately 7 steres of wood and finish the week by a huge fire on the plain.
4th week: We manufacture a luggage stand for the quad and we start to collect the leaves. If next week there is neither too much rain, nor too much snow, nor too much freezing, nor too much wind, we should be able to finish the collecting.

IN NOVEMBER

1st week : Holidays in Hollande :-)
2nd week : Before starting new works, we first collect all the hedges we have cut in october. We also grabe the leaves of the mini-golf and at the allee de la rivière.
3rd week: We finish collecting the hedges. There are of them meters and meters everywhere in the campsite ! Purchase of 4 lodges "toile & bois" to be discovered absolutely in 2011 equipped with their hammock with a wonderful view over the sunset.
4th week: We carry out the autumn plantations.That is to say 61 subjects including 3 trees for the river. These are the 1st trees we plant on the campsite!

IN OCTOBER

1st week : We continue to prune the trees and we sow the new lawn.
2nd week : We winter the swimming pool: cleaning with the karcher of the deckchairs, disassembling of the system of regulation, purging of the pipes, wintering of the pools.
3rd week : We check all the elements of the chalets, replace the missing elements, repair the damages and purge them. The chalets are now ready to winter.
4th week : We winter the rest of the campsite that is to say all the water spots, the sanitary blocks and the machines at the restaurant.

IN SEPTEMBER

1st week: We start straight away the restoration of the chalets Titom. As for the chalets Cottage, we first clean them then we change the damaged piceces of wood and we repaint them all - that is to say per chalet 3 days of restoration and 3 days of painting.

2nd week: We finish the restoration of the Titom 36 & 37.

3rd week : We begin the size of the hedges and the pruning of the trees. In parallel, Gaëlle continue the painting of the chalets and begin to grabe the leaves.

4th week : We finish the restoration of the chalets Titom. Ludovic spends the whole week at the firemen station for a training.

IN JULY AND AUGUST

We thank you all to have come to discover our beautiful region !
We will remember the danses of the children, the wonderful sunsets at the campsite, the animations of Marion and the home-made desserts of Amandine without forgetting Christiane and Clément who have helped us everyday to welcome you

SPRING 2010

In April, we finish a lot of works especially the renovation of the sanitary blocks. We also sow again the lawn : the one we put in october didn’t manage to grow because of the rigourous winter.

May is dedicated to the playgrounds : removing of the old plays, foundations and installation of the new plays at the river and at the allee du rouge gorge.

In June, we mow the lawn then mow again and mow again the lawn ... even more this year because the sun plays hide-and-seek.

WINTER 2010

Annual collecting of the leaves under the snow this year which falls again and again.

Building of a shelter to stock the wood cut the last 2 years. We cut the trunks and the branches into 50cms pieces then we split the biggest trunks. As a result : 43m3 of stocked wood.

Renovation of the sanitary blocks up and down of the campsite. Work places : the sanitary block of the swimmingpool, the one for children down of the campsite, the one near the reception down of the campsite, the heated one up of the campsite and the big sanitary block up of the campsite. One of the objective is to have more equipments adapted to families with young children.

AUTUMN 2009

Continuation and end of the restoration of the 4 chalet Cottages

Traditional autumn works that is to say each year :
* Wintering of the campsite: inventory of all the rentals, great cleaning of the kitchen, the refrigerators, the freezers,…, storage of the tables, the chairs, the trampoline, the dustbins, the deckchairs,…, purging of all the water points of the swimmingpool, of the pitches, in the chalets, in the sanitary blocks, ...(3 working weeks each year)
* Cut and collecting of the hedges (3 weeks)
* Sowing of the new lawn (1 week)
* Blowing and collecting of the leaves (3 weeks each year)

With a small innovation this year : more than one month of care for Chaipas,one of our 7 goats, who has severely broken her right back leg.

SUMMER 2009

In july and august, the weather is sunny then sunny then sunny again ... for the joy of the children and their parents who play in the river. And so even if the river is now at an exceptionnal low level since the Green Ardeche has entered the red zone of dryness.

Beginning september, we start to redo some works with the installation of rollers for water pipes. Then starting mid-september, we have a 1st emergency to deal with : to repare the chalets at the Allée des chèvres naines. We have to cure the wood structures, to replace the damaged planks and to paint the whole chalets.

IN JUNE

April is dedicated to the reopening of the campsite. We have to clean everything, to mow the lawn, to reopen the water pipes and the swimmingpool, ...

Everything has to be ready because in May, it is hot and sunny : the swimmingpool is at 27°C !

June is already there with the Ardechoise contest. Aaahhhh the Ardéchoise contest, we love it ...
We adore ... all ... the atmosphere, the sparkling glasses, the cyclist socks with their grandmother look and the tight clothes !

WINTER 2009

Building of the roof of the garage on the low level of the campsite,electricity and painting of the walls

Arrangement of the Allée de la rivière with the creation of stabilized way and a rain sewer way. Renewal of the main road : on the whole 12 cubic metre of cement and hundreds of stones !
